Create Answerable Questions & Identify Appropriate Sources

Create Answerable Questions & Identify Appropriate Sources

In health care, we often ask complicated questions that have a number of components and variable terminology. The most appropriate resources to search and article types/methodologies to focus on is directly related to how you articulate your needs. This session highlights how to formulate a clear question and select appropriate resources and articles based on your question.

Learning outcomes:

  • Determine the scope of information need
  • Create a clear and answerable question
  • Select appropriate resource(s) and/or study methodologies based on question type

Recommended for: Staff, physicians and/or researchers looking to increase their information seeking skills. This course is valuable to staff engaged in the creation of knowledge resources (guidelines, policies, pamphlets, original research).
