Developing Patient Education Pamphlets Online
Approximately half of all Nova Scotians experience some challenges understanding the health information and teaching provided to them.
This session will highlight how easy-to-read and up-to-date patient education materials can support both patient care and safety. You’ll learn about creating a new pamphlet, how to facilitate the updating process, and how to find, use and share Nova Scotia Health patient pamphlets.
Learning objectives:
- Identify how patient education materials can support you, your team and your patients.
- Describe the pamphlet creation process (developing, editing and updating patient education materials).
- Find and share Nova Scotia Health Patient Pamphlets.
Recommended for: Nova Scotia Health staff new to developing or updating patient pamphlets, or those in need of a refresher.
Please note: This session does not apply to Public Health, Nova Scotia Health Cancer Care Program, or IWK Health pamphlets.
NOTE If you have already registered for or attended the Patient Education Pamphlets for Administrative Professionals session, you do not need to also attend this session (content is very similar).
