In this session, you’ll learn how to use Zotero, a free, powerful tool for organizing research and creating citations with ease. We’ll cover how to install Zotero, collect references from websites, databases, and PDFs, organize your library with folders, and generate in-text citations and bibliographies in multiple styles. Whether you’re writing a paper, thesis, or report, Zotero can save you time and reduce errors—so you can focus on your research instead of your references. 

Learning Objectives: 

By the end of this session, you will be able to: 

  • Install and set up Zotero and its browser connector 

  • Import and organize references 

  • Create citations and bibliographies in various citation styles 

  • Sync your library across devices and share collections with others 

Recommended for: All Nova Scotia Health staff conducting research and looking for a citation management tool

You can join the Teams meeting on your computer or mobile app using the URL you will receive in the Confirmation and Reminder emails. 

You can join a Teams meeting whether or not you have a Teams account. If you don't have an account, follow these steps to join as a 'Guest': 

  1. Paste the Teams meeting link into a Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome browser address bar
  2. On the web page that opens, select Continue on this browser
  3. Enter your name and choose your audio/video settings
  4. Click Join now
