Improving Accessibility of Digital Content Online

Description: Nova Scotia passed the ‘Act Respecting Accessibility in Nova Scotia’ back in 2017. The Accessibility Act has the goal of making an accessible Nova Scotia by 2030. Two areas of interest include education as well as information and communications. The software we use to create PowerPoints and Word documents come with many built-in features that can facilitate making your content more accessible. This session will go over some of these tools, how to use them, and why they can make your content more accessible.

- Use Alternative Text, the Accessibility Checker, and other best practices for Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
