Developing Patient Education Resources Online
Description:
Approximately half of all Nova Scotians experience some challenges understanding the health information and teaching provided to them.
This session will highlight how easy-to-read and up-to-date patient education resources can support both patient care and safety. You’ll learn about creating a new pamphlet, how to facilitate the updating process, and how to find, use and share Nova Scotia Health patient pamphlets.
Learning objectives:
- Identify how patient education resources can support you, your team and your patients.
- Describe the pamphlet creation process (developing, editing and updating patient education resources).
- Find and share Nova Scotia Health patient pamphlets.
Recommended for: All Nova Scotia Health team members (administrative staff, allied health teams, CNEs), new to developing or updating patient pamphlets, or those in need of a refresher.
Please note: This session does not apply to Public Health, Nova Scotia Health Cancer Care Program, or IWK Health pamphlets.
