SUMMARY:Creative Commons: Open Licensing for Nova Scotia Health
DESCRIPTION:Please note: This event will use Microsoft
Teams\n\nDescription: Nova Scotia Health’s transformational work is
recognized nationally and internationally. As a result\, we often get
requests to adapt or reuse our content. We also run the risk of our work
being used without permission and without proper attribution. \n\nTo
facilitate sharing\, while helping ensure that we are given credit for the
work we create\, Nova Scotia Health teams now have the option to assign
Creative Commons (CC) licences to our content. This session will introduce
you to the Creative Commons subject guide and walk you through the process
of how\, when and why CC licences might be right for your team.
 \n\n\n\nLearning Objectives: \n\nBy the end of this 45-minute session\,
you will understand: \n\n\n	What CC licences are \n\n\n\n	Why you should
consider applying them to your work \n\n\n\n	When CC licences are
appropriate for Nova Scotia Health resources and when they should be
avoided \n\n\n\n	How to assign CC licences to your work \n\n\n\n	Where to
get support \n\n\n\n\nRecommended for: Nova Scotia Health staff who create
 print\, online\, or educational content.
